A Letter from the Owners:

Hello, for those of you who don't know-Calypso Paddle Company was brought forward as a spin-off of Calypso’s Bayou (SUP) Paddleboarding company that all started in 2014. Fallon's service company offered guided paddle excursions in South Louisiana mostly (Cocodrie, Grand Isle & Bayou Lafourche), and SUP Yoga classes at the local pools.
In 2019, we decide to dive into the retail world, and open our first shop known as Calypso Paddle Co. to offer our area quality products from kayaks to paddle boards and accessories with an experience you couldn't get anywhere else. After a year in business in Houma, La. We decided to move closer to the water south of Houma, to Golden Meadow, which is just before Grand Isle, LA. After a few months of being in our new bigger location, like any new business we face some battles, for starters the economy led by COVID which causes influx in demand for goods, which lead to supply chain issues /inventory shortage, and then the cherry on top, was Hurricane Ida. Hurricane Ida came right through the area on the gulf coast of south Louisiana, where our store Calypso Paddle Co was located. It devastated the area, and many lost their homes/businesses, and we lost a piece of paradise we called home that will never be the same again. We were one of those people, who lost everything. So, we had a decision to make.
The decision lingered for a while…stay and rebuild or leave. We worked so hard but we know people in the community had to rebuild their lives, not were worrying about being on the water or buying products we sold. So, we had to make a change in our sails and head elsewhere and start fresh and get back to our roots in the service side of the business. Well, this brings us to now 2022, to the panhandle of Florida on the Emerald coast of Destin. We are a mobile unit now servings Niceville & Destin area. We provide Guided SUP/Yak Excursions, paddleboarding, Guided Yak/SUP Fishing, Stand UP “SUP” Yoga, Private Yoga (Groups & ! on 1) ,Paddleboard Lessons, Group and community Events.
We continue to stick to our mission of creating community, exploring the outdoors and creating memories one paddle at a time! ~
